This gorgeous piece was made in the late 1940's or early 1950's by Evelyn Pearson.
A great piece of lounge wear it is made from cream grosgrain which has a circle design woven into the fabric which is only seen in some lights. It has a close fitting bodice with three-quarter length sleeves and a long metal front zip. The bodice fastens with white metal buttons studded with clear paste.
With it's neat collar and turn back cuffs it is a fabulous piece which could definitely be worn outside of the house.
