This beautiful fit and flair coat was made in the late 1940's or early 1950's by Evandore.
Made from thick boucle wool in grey fleck it is a double breasted piece with a wide shawl collar, turn back cuffs and belt. Fully lined with lilac artificial silk it is a stylish piece.
Measurements
The coat will best fit up to a 36-28-38 but to ensure it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own and note all measurements have been taken on the outside of the piece.
Flat bust 19"
Flat waist 15"
Flat hip 20"
Shoulders between sleeves 15"
Underarm sleeve length 15"
Length 42"
Shoulder to waist 15"
Sweep of hem 99"
Belt has holes at 28" up to 33"
Condition
Good with the following points to note;
- the belt is discoloured and someone has carefully hand made two additional belt holes to make the belt smaller and these new holes are not riveted like the original ones
- two darns in the back hem and another under the right collar - because of the texture of the fabric the darns are well hidden
- a few light grazes to some areas of the nap
- a faint mark on the right sleeve forearm
- very, very slight discolouration down the sleeves but it really is minor
