This is a neat little blouse and a great wardrobe staple for the vintage lover.
Made in the 1950's, this purple and white stripe blouse is made from semi-sheer nylon (I believe). It buttons right up to the neck and fastens with purple glass buttons.
A neat collar and simple shaping, it is a classic piece from the era.
There is a label on the inner facing on the front left which says Celia's which, I'm guessing, was a costume house at some point.
The colour is truest in the final photo.
Measurements
This is best suited to a 36" bust. It is smaller in the back than the front and isn't meant to be super close fitting. To ensure it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;
Flat bust 17" in the back and 19" in the front
Flat waist 16"
Shoulders 16"
Length 22.5"
Condition
Good with some points to note;
- there is some light shoulder fade running across the entire shoulder and collar area - see photo
- originally it would have had darts in the front and the back but someone has taken these out to make the waist slightly bigger. In taking out the darts, they have created some small holes - see photos. If you were to pop the darts back in the holes wouldn't be noticed.
Still lots of life left in it.
