This beautiful bag was made in America in the late 1930's or early 1940's.
The body of the bag is faux suede and has a lovely shape. The inner has a separate coin section and two small side pockets all with silver-tone frame and fixings.
The best bit of this piece has to be the chunky piece of carved apple juice Bakelite on the clasp!
Measurements
Widest point on the bag 10.5"
Height 6.5"
Condition
Good with some points to note;
- there is the most minor colour variation on the bag, kind of an orange hue in some lights
- there is wear to the back strap - see photo
- slight tarnish on the inner frame
- main issue is there are cracks to the Bakelite where the screws are holding the frame in place - see photo - there is a small piece missing on one side
