Charming original knit from the late 1930s or early 1940s.
This piece was originally knitted from a Golden Eagle knitting pattern, as seen in the photos. It is a close fitting piece with a lovely wavy design and has little curled rosettes on the neck and sleeve edges. It fastens on the left shoulder with tiny poppers.
I've seen this knitted many times but have never seen an original example.
Measurements
This is a petite piece and will fit a 31" bust maximum. The mannequin is a 33" bust and the knit is too tight on it. To ensure it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;
Bust will fit up to 31"

Condition
Very good with a few minor points to note;
- I spotted three darns in the knit, 2 on the black rib at the waist and one on the side seam on the white
- the white is a little fluffy and has shed slightly onto the black - not a fault but a point to note
- there is some minor underarm felting
