This absolutely stunning dress is just perfect for an evening dance.
Made in the 1940's from medium weight crepe, it has a cross-over bodice with shirring on the shoulders, fabulously full balloon sleeves and a slim fitting skirt with pleating in the front.
There are no fastenings on the crossover so it opens quite low - easily remedied with a brooch or a clip if you feel more comfortable with a higher neckline.
Please note the final photograph showing the dress belted is just to show you how fabulous it looks cinched in, the belt and other accessories shown are not included in the sale.

Condition
Very good with just a couple of minor points to note;
- the darts in the front skirt are a little unevenly spaced
- there is a 2" repair running down one of the front skirt darts
- the dress feels like it has been tweaked and altered at some point - there is more fabric in the seams on some areas than I would expect but it's only noticeable on the inner
- belt loops but no belt
