This is an adorable little brooch.
Made in the 1940's, these popular Make Do and Mend brooches were made using plastic thonging, or in some cases wire covered with plastic, which was wound or crocheted onto a small metal ring and then trimmed with a central decoration, all fastened onto a collar bar.
This piece features a metal ring covered with pale blue thonging. The middle has a large floral spray in purple and blue and has two pretty green flower buttons that have been painted silver for a touch of sparkle.
A really pretty example which would look great on any lapel.
