This is an adorable little brooch.
Made in the 1940's, this popular Make Do and Mend brooch is made of a small metal ring which has blue plastic thonging wound on it. Fixed to a collar bar, the centre decoration is a cluster of thread tied into little knots to look like flower heads in red, pink, blue, white and yellow.
A really pretty example which would look great on any lapel.
