This beautiful coat was made in the 1940's by Mandale and carries the CC41 label on the inner lining seam.
A classic piece of the era, the tailoring is gorgeous and the way the fabric has been used in narrow strips to create an alternating chevron stripe design in blue and brown is wonderful.
Strong shoulders with firm shoulder pads, pockets, double breasted with corduroy collar and pocket trim and the prettiest back detail, it is an incredibly stylish piece and is fully lined.
Please note the colour has been hard to capture and is truest in the final photograph, but please note all monitors show colours differently.
This piece will best fit up to a 36-32-38, depending on what you're going to wear underneath it. However, to ensure that it will fit you properly, please carefully compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own. All measurements have been taken on the outside of the coat;
Flat bust 19"
Flat waist 17"
Flat hip 20"
Shoulders between sleeves 15"
Underarm sleeve length 17"
Good with some points to note;
- there is a 3mm round hole in the lining and a few small scuffs
- there is some slight discolouration on the brown collar where it is lighter in some places - see photos
- on the front right, just near the hem, there are 5 grazes to the brown wool - because of the weave darning them will make them more visible than leaving them
- main issue is the marks on the front left - I haven't tried to clean them, nor do I have a trusted dry cleaner to give it to, but it
