This pretty little hat was made in the 1940's.
Made from cherry red felt it is a simple, yet classic piece which is versatile and can be worn tilted to either side, sat straight on the top of your head or tilted towards the back, like a bonnet.
A round crown with a neat little upturned, wired brim, it is finished neatly with a navy blue grosgrain bow.

Condition
Good with some minor points to note;
- some light marks on the grosgrain
- for some bizarre reason, someone has sprayed the inside of the crown with some sort of stiffener - guessing they wanted to preserved the rounded crown - it isn't an issue as such as it's only seen when the hat isn't worn and looks a bit shiny
- there are 4 very small grazes to the surface layer nap - not holes
- minor wear on the inner band
