This absolutely divine jacket was made in the 1940's.
A Crayson Model piece, it is heavily tailored with lots of seaming at the waist to give a nipped appearance. It has pockets, is fully lined, a glass button closure - with matching buttons on the sleeve ends - a velvet collar and the jacket is entirely covered in soutache.
There are two buttons at the waist so the jacket can be worn edge to edge. It fits better on my mannequin with just one button closed, and it looks great, but you can fasten both which makes it look like an edge to edge.
A timeless piece which is as good today as it was when it was first made!

Flat bust 19.5"
Flat waist 16" - if you button using the double buttons mentioned above then the waist is about 1" bigger
Shoulders between sleeves 14.5"
Length 23"
Underarm sleeve length 17"
Condition
Very good, just shows the smallest amount of minor wear the collar and a few scuffs to a few sections of soutache.
