This piece is wounded but wearable. There are a number of issues with it but it still has life left in it and would be perfect for a re-enactor.
Made in the 1940's from rayon it is labelled Franpear.
It is a classic shape of the era with neat collar, small cuffs, gathered dropped yoke and embroidery on the bust. It fastens down the front with 4 faceted plastic buttons and is a great wardrobe staple to wear under a suit - which will disguise some of the many issues.

Condition
Wounded but wearable. There are a significant number of darns and small mends and wear under every buttonhole. There are some pinhead holes when held up to the light and a few very faint spots. It is not perfect by any means but still looks great worn under a suit. If you are after perfection this piece is definitely not for you.
