This is a beautiful suit in a colour which has been hard to show.
Made in the 1940's the set comprises of a slim fitting skirt, which fastens on the left side with a metal zip, a neatly tailored waistcoat and a smart jacket which has the classic broad shoulders of the 1940's.
The piece is made from a medium weight wool and the pattern is green with an off-white spot, please see the close up photographs for accuracy. Green is incredibly difficult to photograph properly but the green in the suit is a cross between a Forest Green and a Kelly Green.

Condition
Good with minor points to note;
SKIRT
- the waistband has been altered and there is a modern petersham band on the inner
- there is a 1cm darn on the inner turn up. This isn't seen when worn but if you intend to drop the hem to make the skirt longer than this is a point you'll need to factor
WAISTCOAT
- minor colour variation on the lining
- a small mark on the right back shoulder
JACKET
- minor discolouration on the underarm lining and some of the underarm has been re-sewn
- some minor underarm rubbing on both sides
- a small darn beside the second button but this isn't seen when the jacket is fastened
- 3 small darns on the back of the jacket
- 1 darn on the right shoulder and another on the right elbow
- the most minor amount of storage odour but this should lift with a good airing. NOT moth ball smell, just the smell you get when wool has been stored for a while
