This fabulous hat was made in the 1940's.
Made from midnight blue fine straw it is a seamed beret design with a very narrow 1" band of straw that keeps the hat in place. Can be worn flat on your head and tilted to one side, but also works on the back of your head, as shown in the photographs.
The piece is finished off perfectly with soutache and glass beads in an intricate design.

Very good with one point to note;
- there are 4 pinhead sized marks on the side edge
