This is a really lovely hat but it isn't perfect so please read the description properly to make sure you're happy with the condition of this piece.
Made in the 1940s and labelled "Elisabeth Dufils", it is made from natural straw. It features a very shallow crown with a wide brim which has a rolled edge. The hat has an oversized chocolate brown fringed trim in the back.
It will need to be secured with a hat pin or you'll need to add a hat elastic to this piece as the trim in the back is quite heavy.
Measurements
Because this piece perches rather than sits fully on your head, it will fit any size.

Condition
The hat looks lovely and appears to be in great condition but, on close inspection, the chocolate brown trim is actually covering a break in the straw at the back of the hat. On the inside of the piece, an additional piece of straw has been added to patch a damaged area. The brown trim has been cleverly placed over the damage to cover it entirely. The hat is strong and the repair secure and you wouldn't know it was damaged unless you were looking for it. The issue has been reflected in the price.
