Made in the late 1940's or early 1950's, this beautiful piece is labelled 'Carnegie Model'.
This smart suit is made from natural coloured Moygashel and the seat of the skirt, and back flap on the jacket are both lined.
The skirt is timeless in design and is hip skimming with a dart in the back at the hem and fastens with a metal zip. The jacket has a nipped waist and a deep v-neck. It fastens with three mottled plastic buttons, has short sleeves with turn back cuffs, has shoulder pads to give you the iconic silhouette of the time, has pockets and is finished off perfectly with soutache and brown beading.
Would originally have been worn belted and would look great with a thin brown leather belt.

- belt loops but no belt
- on the right hip and side of the skirt there is some slight discolouration - it is only really seen when you place the marked fabric against the unmarked but it is seen in some lights. It really is minor, but please check the photos to make sure you're happy with the condition of the piece before purchasing.
