This fabulous suit was made in America in the 1940's and is labelled Nat Gaynes.
Made from lightweight wool in teeny houndstooth check in black, red and white, it is a stylish piece.
The skirt is slim fitting and fastens on the left side with a plastic button and Nylon zip. The jacket is single breasted, close fitting, has fabulous pocket detail and a neat collar.
Neither piece is lined making it the perfect suit for the warmer months.
Measurements
The suit will fit up to a 40-30-40 depending on what you intend to wear underneath it. However, to ensure that it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;

Length 25.5"

Condition
Very good. Only minor points to note are;
- the most minor line of slight discolouration running in a thin band up the sleeve edges and across the shoulders - assuming this occurred when the suit has been left hanging on a rail
- the skirt zip has been replaced at some point and someone has chosen to use a turquoise Nylon one, which doesn't really match the suit
