This is such a pretty dress.
Made in the 1940s from red crepe, the dress is quite simple in design but has a lovely faux pinafore detail on the front bodice.
The pinafore and sleeves are beaded with clear glass beads in the shape of flowers or shooing stars - I can't decide which it is. The piece has a metal side zip and I believe it would have originally need a full length piece which has been shortened.
