This classic 1940's day dress is made from a very heavy weight sage green Moygashel which means it has great drape and is the perfect piece for the warmer months.
A home-sewn garment it features a button bodice, pleated skirt and neat little belt. The construction is a little quirky in places and I think they were trying to make the most of the fabric they had so some of the finishes are a little off. It has been made well and is a very sturdy but not made by a professional seamstress.

Condition
Very good with a few of minor points to note;
- there are two marks on the skirt - the dress has been washed and the marks stayed - might lift with further treatment
- a darn on the waist, but this isn't seen as it is covered by the belt
- a darn on the left shoulder
- a couple of small spots of iron shine
- the most minor shoulder fade
