This 1940's apron was originally designed to be worn over your normal clothes and protect them while you're doing chores. However, the vibrant print and cool cotton fabric make it the perfect summer dress. Note the armholes are quite low so you may, or may not, want to wear something under it.
Charming print in pink, green and blue on a white background.
It goes on over your head and then has a tie back belt to cinch in the waist, there is a patch pocket and it is bound around the armholes and neck edge with pink cotton binding.
The final photo shows the apron without any pins shaping it on the mannequin.
Please note it is heavily pinned on the mannequin. To ensure this will fit you properly please compare the measurements below to a similar garment you already own.
Flat bust 25"
Flat waist 24.5"
Flat hip 26.5"
Edge to edge across the shoulders 17"
Shoulder to waist 17.5"
Shoulder to hem 42.5"
It is deadstock, unworn and still smells of the fabric stiffener.
