This fabulous two piece suit was made in the 1940's.
Made from navy blue floppy cotton it has a wonderful novelty print featuring clusters of pink balloons surrounded by bright flowers.
The jacket has three-quarter length sleeves, triangle detailing on the dropped yoke, a neat little collar and fastens with red plastic buttons.
The skirt is the classic shape of the era and fastens on the left hip with poppers and hooks and both pieces are unlined.
Looks great belted, as shown in the photos although the belt is not included, but can also be worn as separates.

Condition
Good with the following points to note;
- the skirt has four 3mm areas of wear, they aren't holes, just slight thinning
- the jacket has slight seam stress on the front darts--very minor
- the jacket also has 1 pinhole on the left sleeve, a 1cm darn on the left sleeve, a darn on the left yoke, a 1.5cm darn on the right yoke, three small darns in the back and ten pinhead holes/thinning. The ten small holes are only seen when it is held up to the light, darning them is likely to make them more visible
