This pretty little hat was made in America in the 1950's and is labelled Gertrude Singer.
The body of the hat is made from lacquered straw and the edge is surrounded with cotton velvet in a rich wine shade. The frame is wired to help keep the hat in place and it is lined with the most beautiful stripe lining.
