This gorgeous bag looks so much better in real life than in the photographs - as so often happens with black items.
Made in the 1950's, most likely in France, this bag is beautifully made. Entirely covered with beads, including the base of the piece, the beading has been done in a mix of seed and bugle beads. The handle is entirely covered with teeny black seed beads and the bag closes with with a sprung metal flap which has a pretty scalloped edge.
Fully lined, and with two small inside pockets, it is a really weighty piece and is just perfect for an evening out.

Condition
Good with some minor points to note;
- slight wear on the lining
- minor wear to the sides of the handles - see photos
- there are nineteen areas of bead loss - please see photos - because the bag is so heavily beaded it is hard to see the areas of loss unless you look hard to them
