This fabulous dress was made in the 1950's and is labelled Smartsette.

Made from lightweight black cotton it has a plaid print in purple, white and teal.

Featuring a close fitting bodice, neat turn-back cuffs, a hip skimming skirt and wide belt, it is such a stylish piece of the era.

 

Measurements

The dress is shown on a 35" bust mannequin and it is too tight. Best for up to a 34" maximum but to ensure that it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;
