This dress was made in the 1950's and is labelled 'A Trustyle Model J D Williams & Co. Manchester'.

Made from lightweight wool in a rich berry shade, it is a close fitting piece with three-quarter length sleeves, pockets, decorative button detail (the bodice fastens with poppers, buttons are purely for decoration) and a neat belt.

The dress is unlined.

Condition

Good with some minor points to note;

- there are some very small darns, each just less than 5mm, in the following places - back neck, right bodice beside sleeve, right bodice near buttons and on the belt

- there is a 10mm darn on the waistband but this is hidden by the belt

- when held up to the light there are 4 small pinhead thins, not seen when worn
