This is such a neat little piece.
Made in the 1940's and labelled "Beechtree" it was originally designed to go over a dress to keep the dress clean while chores were being done. However, it would make the perfect summer frock.
Made from cotton it has a sweet print of red, blue and green on a white ground. A button through design it has a shirred waist which gives the cinched in look without the need for a belt.
Measurements
This will best fit up to a 36-28-38 however, to ensure it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;
Flat bust 19"
Flat waist 10" stretching to 14"
Flat hips 19"
Shoulders between sleeves 15"
Shoulder to waist 14"
Shoulder to hem 42"
Condition
Very good with minor points to note;
- there is some damage under the button second up from the bottom
- there are two areas of staining on the right front of the dress, they are faint, and more noticeable from the inside, but they are there. The dress has been soaked in Retro Clean but the stains didn't lift.
The dress has been washed, pressed and is ready to wear.
