This fabulous dress was made in the 1950's and is so much better in real life than the photographs show.

Made from heavy weight silk the detailing on the dress is divine! Featuring a deep v-neck yoke which goes into a finely gathered, full bodice, it has long slim fitting sleeves with underarm gussets. With a wide wing collar it has a hook and eye fastener in the back. The skirt is wonderfully full with fine gathers at the waist and it has pockets! 

A very stylish little black dress for any vintage lover's wardrobe.

 

Measurements

The dress will best fit a 34-25-38 but to ensure it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;

Flat bust 17" but there is so much fullness in the bodice it will fit a 34" bust with room to move

Flat waist 13"

Hips free

Shoulders between sleeves 14"

Underarm sleeve length 14" sleeve plus 2" into the middle of the gusset

Flat bicep 6"

Shoulder to waist 16"

Shoulder to hem 43" with no hem allowance

Circumference of skirt at hem 120"

 

Condition

Very good. Shows minor wear. The only point to note is slight wear and discolouration to the collar points.
