This pretty little dress was made in the late 1940's or early 1950's.
An ice-blue artificial silk base it has a close fitting waist and a neat crossover neckline. The entire dress is covered with black lace in a floral design. A fairly full skirt, which has great movement when you walk, the design is finished off perfectly with a thin cotton velvet band which ties in a bow in the front.

Condition
Good with some minor points to note;
- someone has cut off the belt looks and there are slight tufts of the loops left - hard to unpick them without risking damage to the lace so I have left them as they aren't too visible and would be covered if you wore a belt
- the underskirt has some faint marks, not seen when worn
- some light wear to the edge of the ribbon trim
- there is a small repair to the lace on the left hip area - see photo
