This fabulous dress was made in the 1950's and is labelled Mode O'Day.
Made from ivory coloured artificial silk, which is semi sheer, it has a geometric print woven into the fabric.
The bodice is smooth fitting with a large collar and six metal buttons with paste middles. It has short sleeves with deep cuffs, a full skirt and still has the original belt.
A great dress for the summer.

Condition
Good with the following points to note;
- the belt is discoloured. The dress was discoloured when I purchased it but it was soaked and has come up beautifully but I didn't risk washing the belt - still looks great with the dress but could easily be swapped for another
- a 4mm area of wear in the back skirt in the seat area
- three small areas of wear on the back left shoulder - they have been darned since the photographs were taken
- repair on the underarm sleeve seam
- main issue is some stress to the fabric on both sleeve fronts - see photo
Washed, pressed and ready to wear.
