This pretty pink dress was made in the 1950's.
A fairly simple design it has a central insert, neat sleeves and a pleated skirt. The fabric is a gorgeous cotton rayon mix which is cool to the touch and has a lovely drape, making it perfect for summer.
A home-sewn garment, it has a few quirky construction techniques going on but that all adds to the charm of the garment. It is strong and wearable but hasn't been made by the most accomplished sewer, which is reflected in the price. They also have had to piece some fabric to make the sleeves.
This will best fit up to a 40-35-46 however, to ensure it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;
Flat bust 21.5"
Flat waist 18.5"
Flat hips 25"
Shoulders between sleeves 15"
Shoulder to waist 15.5"
Shoulder to hem 45"
Underarm sleeve length 5"
Very good, no damage points to note but please be aware that this hasn't been made to the highest standard and has some wibbly seams, especially on the belt.
The dress has been washed, pressed and is ready to wear.
