This fabulous dress was made in the 1950's.
Made from grosgrain in salmon pink it has a bold floral print worked in black flock with accent detail in yellow and white.
It has a close fitting bodice with a deep v neck in the front and back, and the skirt is incredibly full, beyond a full circle due to the gathered inserts in the hem. Worn with petticoats it would give incredible volume to the skirt but even without a petticoat it stands out well, as shown in the photographs.
