A fantastic handbag and shoes set made from snakeskin.
Made in Singapore in the 1950s, these are a great set. The box bag has two large compartments and three small and has a twist closure in the front. The shoes are sling back and peep toe and look very smart on. Labelled Stamford Road, Singapore on the shoe lining.
Very good condition. The skin on them both is very smooth and not at all dry. No lifting of the scales and no flaking. Minor points to note;
The bag has 5 marks on the skin. I don't know if they are part of the actual skin or if they are marks, see photos.
I think it once had a handle as there is a little bit of scruffy stitching on each side of the bag - see photos.
The shoes are in lovely condition. They've had new soles in the past, see photo, and there are some marks on the inner and the lining in the toes is lifting slightly.
The bag is 3" wide, 10" long and 7" high.
The shoes have no size markings that I can find so to ensure these will fit please compare the measurements below to a pair you already own.
- length along the inner 9 1/8th"
- widest point of the sole 2 7/8th"
- width across the vamp 5 6/8th"
- heel height taken in the middle 2"
