This is a wonderfully vibrant scarf, and one of the prettiest coronation scarves I've had.
Made in 1953 to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, it is made from crepe and features a bold design with the queen's image, guards, Buckingham Palace, Balmoral Castle, Windsor Castle, St Paul's Cathedral and the daffodil, shamrock, rose and thistle of the four nations. The busy, bright design has beautiful artwork and is surrounded by a border of turquoise blue.

Condition
Good. While this piece isn't in perfect condition, it still presents really well and is, in my opinion, the best of the scarves I have for sale because it depicts Queen Elizabeth's face. Points to note;
- there are three small 8mm holes. Two fall in the yellow floral border and one is in the blue edge - see photos
- colour bleed from the red. Sadly, as so often happens with red dyes, the colour from the red sections has bled into other areas while the scarf was in storage. It had been folded for decades and not really stored properly. It has now been carefully folded with tissue paper so no more colour transfer can occur while it is in my care
Postage
It will be boxed and sent via a signed for method of post.
