This fabulous hat was made in the 1950's.
It features fifty 'bobbles' made from straw. The fine strips of straw have been curled into coils and placed on a stiffened band. It has then been finished off perfectly with a velvet ribbon, tied into a bow, interwoven between the white.
A really unusual piece.

Because of the design of the piece it will fit any size head.
Width front front to back 4 1/2"
Side to side on the underside of the hat 12"
Condition
Very good with only some minor points to note;
- there is some discolouration on the inner band
- there are a few spots on the coils
Even with these issues it is a stunning piece.
