This charming hat was made in the 1920's or early 1930's.
Made from dark brown straw it has a very close fitting crown which is designed to fit snugly on your head. The neat brim is shallower in the back than the front and is trimmed with a grosgrain rosette and clay flowers.

Condition
Very good condition with only minor points to note;
- the trim on the front is made of clay or plaster and is damaged in places - see photo
- some scuffs on the inner band
- this isn't really a fault but more a point to be aware of, because the hat is made of soft straw, when it isn't on a head the crown sags in and the hat looks misshapen.
