This fabulous piece was home sewn in the late 1940's or early 1950's. 

Made from medium weight cotton it has a swirl print in emerald green and crescents in orange.

It has a neat collar and fastens down the front with three hooks and eyes - the pretty green buttons are for decoration only - and has a peplum skirt which is totally separate from the blouse and fastens with a popper.

 

Measurements

It will best fit up to a 36" bust and if you are wearing the peplum then it fits a maximum waist of 25". If you don't wear the peplum then it will work on up to a 30" waist.

Length down centre back 20.5"

Peplum waistband is 1 1/4" and peplum is 6 3/4" long

 

Condition

The blouse is in very good condition with just a few small spots. The peplum has rust marks on the inner band where someone has moved the poppers at some point which has left marks - they aren't visible from the outside.
