This pretty little day dress was made in the late 1940's or early 1950's and is labelled Banners.
Made from crisp medium weight cotton in spring green it has a leaf print in white, black, red and blue. With a smooth fitting button bodice it has little white cap sleeves and a smart white collar to match. The skirt has two tiers, one slightly fuller than the other which gives it a great shape. It fastens on the left side with a popper placket and still has the original tie belt.
A perfect dress for the summer.

Deadstock. The dress was found with a collection of other pieces, all of which had never been worn and had been in storage for decades. It still has the fabric dressing smell. Although it has never been worn there are a few small points to note;
- there are two pinhead rust spots on the collar
- there is a pinhead black mark on the back of the right sleeve, right near the armpit area
- slight storage odour but this will air out or wash out
