This is an exceptionally beautiful suit.
A bespoke made piece from the 1930's, it was made but never worn and still has the stitching holding the skirt darts together.
The jacket is the classic fit of the 1930's with narrow shoulders, beautiful tailoring and a single button at the waist. The skirt is very straight with just a small back dart and fastens on the left side with a zip and hook fastener.
The natural linen is very heavy and still has the fabric stiffener in it.
The sleeves on this piece are much too long for the mannequin and so don't look their best. Please see the final photo which shows the suit without being pinned to the mannequin.
