This piece is just perfect for the summer.
A beautiful example of a CC41 frock it was made in the late 1940's or early 1950's by St Michael. It features a simple bodice with button front, a pleated skirt with popper side fastening, neat turned back cuffs and a wide collar. The fabric is a medium weight cotton which is slightly warm to the touch and it features a charming floral print which includes thistles in the design.
Please note the dress is pinned to the mannequin. The final photo shows the dress without pins.
It will fit up to a 44-36-46 but to ensure it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar item you already own;
Flat bust 23"
Flat waist 19"
Flat hip 24"
Shoulders between sleeves 16"
Neck to waist 17"
Neck to hem 44"
Underarm sleeve length 3"
Flat cuff 6.5"
Very good, the only points to note are;
- it has belt loops but no belt
- on the back of the neck and the underside of the collar there are some slight rust marks, I'm assuming from a safety pin of label which rusted over time.
The dress has been washed, pressed and is ready to wear.
