This is a lovely example of the lapel badge worn by the Women's Land Army.
The central detail inside the circlet shows a sheath of wheat in raised detail superimposed over a green enamel background. The badge is surmounted by a King's crown coloured with red enamel. Stamped on the back MARPLES & BEASLEY BIRMINGHAM.
