Made in the late 1940's or early 1950's by Norvic, Devonshire, these shoes are deadstock and come in their original box.
The style name is Alton and the shoes are made from wonderfully soft black suede and have a sweet little bow trim in the front.
They have a neat heel and smart rounded toes. A great pair of classic court shoes which are good for day or evening wear.
Measurements
These are labelled as a 5 but to ensure that they will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar pair you already own;
Length along the inner 9 1/2"
Widest point of the sole 3"
Vamp 5"
Heel height taken in the middle 2 3/4"
Condition
These are deadstock and come in their original box. The shoes are in very good condition with some very light marks from box storage. Biggest issue is on the right shoe where the piece of grosgrain which creates the middle of the bow isn't there - see photo - the shoes have been reduced by £20 to reflect this issue - I would suggest removing the piece on the left shoe to make them match.
- A couple of other minor points to note;
- the inner heel, under the liner, has a foam insert to make them comfortable. The foam has perished over time and is crunchy and creating some dust, doesn't have any impact on wear.
- the inners are curling slightly, especially in the toes
- the box is in poor condition with bits falling off
