This is a really lovely hat in a classic shape.
Made in the 1930s, this piece is made from lacquered straw in inky black with a natural straw band around the outer brim. It is a close fitting piece, designed to sit slightly tilted on the right side of your head, and is trimmed with a cluster of cream and black flowers in a mix of silk and velvet.

This hat needs to sit fully on your head and will fit a maximum 21" head.

Condition
Beautiful. It is in wonderful condition and looks to have been very rarely worn. The only minor points to note are;
- there are some very minor marks on the inner band
- at the back of the hat there are a couple of slightly rough areas where, I assume, someone has poked a hatpin through the straw
