This knit set was made in the 1950's and is labelled Barbara Carol New York.
A three piece set consisting of a dress, cardigan and belt, it is made from boucle wool in mink brown the dress is close fitting with a smooth knit bodice and broad ribbed skirt. It has short sleeves, has a rounded neckline and chevron detailing around the neckline. It cinches at the waist with a belt.
The cardigan has three-quarter length sleeves, buttons right to the neck with covered buttons and has a smart collar, in the matching chevron design that is featured on the neckline of the dress.
Measurements
The dress will best fit a 36-29-38 but could stretch to a 38-29-40 if you like it very close fitting. However, to ensure it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;

Condition
Very good with the following points to note;
- there is a 5mm dark mark on the seat of the skirt
- there are two very faint marks, each 1" across, on the front of the skirt - so faint they won't photograph but they are there
