This is a fabulous little summer frock.
A home-sewn piece from the 1950's, it is made from medium weight cotton which has a slight texture to the fabric.
It has a close fitting bodice with shirring at the back, a thin halter-neck tie and has a side opening down the left bodice. With a fairly full skirt and pockets in the side seams, it is the perfect dress for the warmer months.
